David and Chris have known each other for nearly 25 years, many of those years working together at The Dolphin in Thorpeness. It is there where they worked tirelessly together, with David’s daughter Kerry, to bring The Dolphin back to where it belongs into the heart of the village. After many successful years at The Dolphin and running the Village Store it felt like the right time to start another venture. They couldn’t knock down a chance to run this beautiful 16th century smugglers pub when it became available and as luck would have it; less than 2 miles away from The Dolphin. With its long and rich history in Aldringham, David and Chris recognise that The Parrot is an important and vital part of everyday life in Aldringham.
